Access to Technology is Available

We understand, you might be new to online learning and feeling a little uncertain. Don’t worry, our teams are ready to help you every step of the way! We can come to you with the support option that is the most comfortable for you such as Zoom video, phone, or email.

In addition, we are excited to introduce our new live UChat service. When you visit the SVC website, UChat gives you a quick entry point to chat with staff in Admissions, Enrollment Services, TRiO Student Support Services, Counseling and Advising, and the Office of Student Equity and Inclusion. We have also created a series of How-To videos in English and Spanish that guide you step-by-step through the State Application, the Application Supplement, and MySVC Password and Pre-Flight.

Do you need access to a laptop for your studies? SVC has distributed approximately 240 laptops and 60 hotspots to students at the Mount Vernon and Whidbey Island campuses to support their online learning.

We have also increased access to WiFi at several parking lots:

Mount Vernon Campus:
Laura Angst Hall (Lot L1)
Joe Reeves Hall (Lot L2)

Whidbey Island Campus:
WiFi from SVC and the Sno-Isle Library cover the parking lots without any extensions
