If you are interested in working as a tutor on either the Mt. Vernon or Whidbey Island Campuses, please complete the online application form.

If you want to learn more or are interested in online tutoring through SVC:

There are three ways to receive tutoring assistance.

1. Tutoring Offered Through Skagit Valley College

Students can receive in-person or online tutoring via video chat or phone with the all of the tutors that work on Mount Vernon and Whidbey Island campuses. In-Person Tutoring Sessions

In-person tutoring is being offered on both Mount Vernon and Whidbey Island Campuses.

2. Writing Center Assistance

The SVC Writing Center in Lewis Hall 321 (Mount Vernon Campus) is available both in-person and online to any SVC student enrolled in any class. Drop in or make an appointment for one-to-one assistance from trained writing consultants (tutors) on your writing for any class, at any phase of the writing process. 

Writing resources, workshops, and quiet writing space are available in the Center. “Real-time” (synchronous) and “Feedback” (asynchronous) sessions are available online

3. Online tutoring offered through Western eTutoring Consortium

ALL students are able to access online tutoring through the Western eTutoring Consortium at any time of year. This service is always open to all students, even during regular campus operations. If you have questions about Western’s eTutoring Consortium, please contact Claver Hategekimana.
