Here you can learn more about SVC’s Scholarship Offerings.

The best way to secure financial aid for education is to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) OR the Washington Application for State Financial Aid (WASFA).

You can learn more about completing these applications at: www.skagit.edu/financial-aid and scroll down to Need help completing your FAFSA or WASFA Application.

SVC Foundation Scholarships

The Skagit Valley College Foundation offers a wide variety of scholarships every year to eligible students. We have an amazing donor community!

Community Scholarships

Skagit Valley College’s community partner, Futures Northwest offers a one-stop-shop for local and community scholarships offered in the Whatcom, Skagit, and Island Counties. To explore their extensive list of scholarships, go to www.futuresnw.org and scroll down to the scholarship section.

Students can also find a wide variety of scholarships at www.theWashboard.org. The WashBoard is a free scholarship matching site for Washington State residents and students attending college in Washington State.

SVC Writing Center

Students can drop-in to the SVC Writing Center to get in-person help with scholarship applications and essays. Talking with a consultant is a great way to learn how scholarship application essays are different from academic essays. Students can also receive online support at www.skagit.mywconline.com
