Learning Outcomes

After completing this course, the student will be able to:

  1. Identify techniques to safely work in potentially infectious environments.
  2. Identify risk factors for HIV/AIDS in client/patient populations.
  3. Become informed regarding recognition and control of exposure to HIV and other pathogens.
  4. Develop skills to discuss these issues with clients and to assess the complications they may pose, if any, to treatment for other conditions.
