First-Gen Celebration: Tamam Waritu, Keynote Speaker

November 6 at 11 a.m.-12 p.m. in the Cardinal Cafeteria: First-Gen Keynote Speaker: Tamam Waritu.
Tamam was himself a first-generation college student who went to Harvard through the McNair program and, after graduating with his M.Ed, has dedicated himself to teaching and inspiring first-gen students to own their voice, combat deficit mindsets, understand the unique obstacles and the opportunities that come with being first-gen, and identify communities of support. ALL students and staff are welcome and we will zoom the speech for our WIC students and staff.
